Lou and Ruth West are the Directors of Garhauer (pronounced gar-hower) Marine NZ Ltd in Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand. The display room is a few minutes from Paihia town and about 5 minutes by car from Opua Marina (they have a free pickup from the marina if you don't have a car!)

He has sailed and owned boats for the best part of 50 years, so understands that you need the right equipment for the job and is happy to share his knowledge with boat owners. He is also a well-known marine paint specialist and the inventor and manufacturer of the very popular Anchor Buddy anchor weights that are sold worldwide.
